Introduction
DYRT is a luxury product for the eco-conscious explorer. As a hiker, camper, and mountain biker myself, I find it important to take care of the places I visit. When I'm in the backcountry for long periods, I like to reset by washing off. However, it is unsafe to let just any soap’s wastewater back into the water table. Soap wastewater can be harmful and damage the microbiome, in turn disrupting the ecosystem. DYRT is the answer to this concern. DYRT go back into the ground, and won’t cause harm to the ecosystems you visit.

DYRT or Dirt?
Nope, it isn't a typo. DYRT is spelled this way because it isn't... dirt. DYRT can go in the dirt and remove dirt, but isn't dirt. DYRT is spelled this way to differentiate the product from others on the shelf, and as a tounge-in-cheek play on the word.

LOGO & Brand Book
Logo Logic
DYRT’s logo references outdoor gear, something near and dear to the outdoors enthusiast’s heart. I wanted the logo to feel structural and sleek, much like high-quality outdoor gear. The bold weight of the hand-lettered logo will stand out against busy backgrounds such as photography of outdoor landscapes where DYRT's clients go. Pictured to the right is the typography and color pages of the DYRT brand book, demonstrating the typography paired with the logo and natural hues used throughout the brand.

PRODUCTs
Space Saving Packaging
DYRT has square packaging to make it easily packable, as being space-efficient is crucial when packing for a long backpacking trip. The bottle’s labels utilize bitmapped & monotone images, two of which I shot (the mountain range and forest path). The colorization for the packaging is inspired by places I’ve explored, as I wanted every aspect of this brand to be earthy and outdoorsy.
